Kevin: 29 December 2011
Kevin has the honor of fighting in the prestigious Rajadamnoen Stadium in Bangkok. His opponent, Juma from Tanzania, is more experienced, has fought with Jomhod before and in Thai fight this year. Kevin defends well in the first round but gets unlucky in the seond and gets KO'd by a strong right kick to the neck. Video online. |

Sunanta: 28 December 2011
Sunanta goes up against Patumpon, the title holder of the World Muay Thai Council belt at 118 Lbs. Sunanta is undeterred, strong and wins by decision. Fight video online. |

Update 2012: Sunanta is now back in the UK working on her university degree. We wish here the best of luck with her future plans. Hopefully she can come back to Thailand to continue her Muay Thai career. |

King's Cup 2011: Rafael was aggressive from the start and won his fight by KO in Round 2. His opponent had to get stitched up after the fight. He had a large cut in his forehead. Fight video online. |

Rawai Muay Thai 8th anniversary party: 26 November 2011
We had four fights: Nathan vs. Pete; Rob vs. Darren; Andy vs. Kris; and Richy vs. Owen. Thanks to all the boxers who participated. Thanks to Lindsey and Jay for taking photos. Thanks to Tuk's Mom and to Sai from Cashew Nut for the fantastic food. Thanks to Apple and Jojo and Sunny for taking care of all the details.
These 8 years have been a wild and crazy ride, wouldn't trade it for anything. Love my life here. Rawai is our life's work and Tuk and I are proud of it. Thanks to the wonderful trainers and staff and all our students from around the world who are part of the extended Rawai family. Looking forward to more amazing times.

Rawai Muay Thai sponsors small countryside gyms around Thailand. These young female athletes train at two of the gyms we sponsor. Malaipet trains in Pattalung, South Thailand, and is 14 years old. Kanthong trains in Khao Lak and is 13 years old. They both have 8 previous fights. Kanthong wins after five tough rounds. Video online. |

Trainer Lek: 4 November 2011
Trainer Lek teaches at Rawai Muay Thai camp in Phuket Thailand. Although overweight and older, he fights on occasion and still has the skills to win. In this fight he beats Chern Chai, a trainer from Dragon Muay Thai gym in Phuket. Fight online. |

Rafael: 25 September 2011
Rafael fought in the Thai fight promotion in Bangkok. Big event with big names in the fight card including Fabio Pinca, Kem Sitsongpeenong and Buakaw. He's paired up against Chanaek from PK Muaythai gym, a more experienced boxer. Rafael survives the three rounds but loses by decision. Video online.

We also had three boxers fighting in the Queen's Cup in Bangkok the same night: Rafael (France); Teresa (Sweden) and Gerri (UK). Tuk and Bang went to the event as well. It was raining and there were 25 pairs fighting the same night! Teresa won by decision, Rafael won by KO in Round 1 and Gerri lost by decision after just three rounds. Gerri fought Nadia from Denmark. These two women have fought three times now. Their first fight was in Naiharn earlier this year, which ended in a draw. Their second fight in Bangla Gerri won by decision after 5 tough rounds. And their third fight at the Queen's Cup. This fight was cut short though. They stopped the action because it was midnight and it was time to sing Happy Birthday to the Her Majesty the Queen.Very exciting and close but the referees gave the decision to her opponent, Nadia (Tiger Muay Thai), after just three rounds.

Bali Muay Thai Grand Match: 9 July 2011
Francois from Baan Muay Thai Club organized the first Muay Thai show in Indonesia. We sent three boxers to take part: Teresa, Andy and Rawi. The event included three WPMF Title fights. The show was held in Kuta Beach, Bali. Beautiful location, friendly crew and lots of fun. Andy lost by KO, Teresa fought hard and went the distance against the current WMPF champ Saifah, in 118 Lbs. but lost by decision. Rawi beat Juan Mario from Spain. Watch the fights online:

Luk Tao: 26 June 2011
Luk Tao is a young resident fighter at the gym. His name means Dice (as the dice you roll). In this fight he was losing after round 2. He gets cut from an elbow and is bleeding heavily.
Tuk thinks about stopping the fight but Luk Tao wants to go on for one more round...and wins by KO in Round 3! Good for you! Watch the fight online. |

We had 4 pairs of sparring action, as well as a Muay Boran exhibition, lots of food and music. It was fun and we're thinking of doing it again soon!

Gerri: 15 June 2011
Gerri vs. Nadia, the rematch. Nadia from Denmark trains at Tiger Muay Thai. She and Gerri fought at Naiharn Beach in April 2011. Their fight was exciting, fast paced and resulted in a draw.
This time around they fought in Bangla Stadium. They both weighed-in at 70.5 Kilos. It was a close fight but Gerri came through in the end, by decision. She is awarded the Bangla Belt too! Well done Gerri! Watch the fight online. |

Naiharn Charity Event 22 January 2011
Rawai Muay Thai sponsored this year's Naiharn Charity event. It was a great success. More than 1,000 people came and we raised more than 100,000 Baht for charity.The fights were exciting and boxers from local Muay Thai camps as well as Bangkok champions participated.
Thanks to Atsumi Center for a generous donation. Thanks to Sinbi, Dragon, Lion and Phromthep gyms. Thanks to the local residents who helped out and to Jay and Cha Cha for the great photos and video. Nom, Naiharn Charity Event: 22 January 2011
Nom really tried hard in this fight and after 4 rounds it was 50/50. He lost round 5 and thus the fight by decision. It was heart wrenching to see him try so hard and still lose. But it was the most exciting fight of the night. Maybe a rematch is in order? Watch the fight online. |

This was a rematch fight between Pratumpon and Laurene. Pratumpon won their first encounter by decision but this time around Laurene was stronger, winning by knee KO in Round 3. She also won the trophy for ftest KO of the night. Watch the fight on You Tube. |

Ankie, Indonesia: 7 January 2011
This is Ankie's second fight. His opponent, from Tiger, is younger but heavier. Ankie kept his calm and fought smart, using the low kicks well. Ankie won by TKO in round 2. Watch the fight online.
