Khao Sok National Park

Ratchaprapha Dam /Bamboo Bungalows
Khao Sok National Park is also known as the Guilin of Thailand. It is a great weekend retreat destination to visit with a group friends. It's located North of Phuket, only a three-hour drive. The floating bungalows in Khao Sok National Park are basic with only a mattress on the floor (each bungalow is suitable for 2 people). The costs of staying at the bungalows was 550 Thai Baht per person. This includes the boat ride to and from the bungalows, dinner & breakfast (bring your own wine, beer & snacks).

How to get there: Drive to Ratchaprapha Dam where the longtail boat will pick you up. This is a 3-hour drive from Phuket or a 2-hour drive from Krabi. Take the 415 highway past Krabi and drive toward Surat Thani.
