New in Khao Lak: Herbitage Clinic Brings Traditional Chinese Medicine to Khao Lak.

Things to do in Khao Lak, Training in Thailand

clinic

We’re excited to welcome Herbitage, a brand-new clinic located right here in Khao Lak, offering holistic healing treatments rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Whether you’re here for a beach holiday, a Muay Thai training camp, or a bit of both, Herbitage offers natural therapies to help your body heal, recover, and rebalance.

What Herbitage Offers

This recently opened clinic specializes in four key TCM therapies: Cupping Therapy, Acupunture, Moxibustion and Tui Na massage.

Cupping Therapy

cupping

If you’ve ever seen athletes with circular marks on their backs or shoulders — that’s cupping. This therapy uses suction to promote blood flow, loosen tight muscles, and support deep tissue recovery. It’s excellent for relieving tension, detoxifying the body, and even boosting immunity.

Acupuncture

By stimulating specific points on the body with fine needles, acupuncture can treat everything from chronic pain and insomnia to stress and digestive issues. It’s a safe and time-tested way to restore balance to the body’s energy systems.

Moxibustion

This warming technique involves burning a herb called mugwort near the skin to stimulate circulation and enhance healing. Especially beneficial for joint pain, fatigue, and cold-related conditions, moxibustion pairs well with acupuncture for deeper therapeutic results.

Tui Na Massage

Tui Na is a form of medical massage based on the principles of TCM. It’s more than relaxation — it works deeply into the muscles, meridians, and joints to promote alignment and energy flow. Perfect for athletes or anyone recovering from injury or fatigue.

Why This Matters for Muay Thai and Sports Recovery

If you’re training at our Muay Thai gym, or simply living an active lifestyle, these therapies are not just “alternative” — they’re highly effective tools for: Reducing muscle soreness and inflammation Speeding up recovery from training or injury Improving circulation and energy levels Managing stress and improving sleep In fact, many professional fighters and athletes around the world incorporate acupuncture, cupping, and TCM massage into their recovery routines.

Train Hard, Recover Smarter At our Muay Thai gym, we believe recovery is just as important as training. With Herbitage now part of the Khao Lak wellness community, you have another powerful resource to keep your body and mind in fighting shape. Interested in trying a session? Ask our staff at the gym — we’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
